Visualizing Psychopragmatic: Method of Analysis of Cultural Identity Learning for Sociocultural Language Researchers

Cultural identity helps language researchers understand the subject under investigation. Psychopragmatics refer to the language analysis method that considers an individual’s psychological. This article employs psychopragmatics analysis to investigate the examination of cultural identity, using the Minangkabau culture as a case study. This literature review was selected through a comprehensive review of relevant literature. As per the analysis, the act of self-identification by the speaker can exert a significant impact on the cognitive processes and perspectives of the listener. Therefore, language researchers can utilize psychopragmatics to analyze the acquisition of cultural identity through personal language.
