Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri busana muslimah dalam masyarakat melayu. Sebagai ciptaan Allah yang paling sempurna, manusia menginginkan kelengkapan yang sempurna sesuai dengan tingkat kebudayaan dan intelektualnya. Busana itu merupakan perlembagaan cita rasa ia disesuaikan menurut personaliti dan mesti membaluti dan memelihara badan kita. Setelah disoroti ayat-ayat al-Quran dan matan al-Hadith, didapati busana muslimah telah dibincangkan sejak dahulu lagi. Malah Allah swt dan Nabi saw telah memberikan model asas bagi busana muslimah yang bertepatan dengan Islam. Justeru kertas kerja ini diharapkan dapat membantu pembaca untuk sama-sama memahami konsep sebenar busana muslimah yang digariskan di dalam al-Quran dan Al-Hadith.

 ABSTRACT

 This article aims to examine the attire of Muslim women within the Malay society. As the most perfect creation of Allah, humans desire perfection in accordance to their cultural and intellectual intensities. The attire is a constitution of one’s preferences which is tailored to the personality and must conceal and protect our bodies. After highlighting the verses of Al-Qur’an and al-Hadith, it was found that the attire of Muslim women (busana Muslimah) has been discussed throughout many ages of time. In fact, Allah swt and the Prophet saw provided a basic model for Muslim women attire which conforms to Islam. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to enlighten the reader to understand the true concept of Muslim women attire outlined in Al- Qur’an and Al-Hadith.
