SUBMISSION GUIDELINE
Author Guidelines for Case Study Submission
IJECS welcomes and publishes case study in the field of:
v Retailing and commerce
v Logistics and distributive trade
v Tourism and hospitality
v Finance and accounting
v Business sustainability
v Entrepreneurship & economic growth
v Entrepreneurship development programme & policy
v Social entrepreneurship
v Human capital and entrepreneurship
1. General Requirements
v Manuscripts must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration elsewhere.
v Case studies should be written in clear academic English.
v Length: 5,000–8,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).
v Format: Microsoft Word, 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman, 12-point font, A4 paper size, 2.5 cm margins.
v Referencing: APA (7th edition).
2. Structure of Case Study Manuscript
A case study should follow the following structure:
- Title Page
v Title of the case study (concise and descriptive)
v Author(s) full name, affiliation, and email address
v Acknowledgement (if applicable)
v
- Prologue / Case Introduction
v Engaging opening that sets the scene (time, place, main character/decision-maker).
v Provides context to draw readers into the situation.
- Case Narrative / Development
v Background of the main actor(s) and organization.
v Development: chronological or thematic unfolding of events.
v Details of industry, market, or environment (supported with data, reports, statistics).
v Challenges/Dilemmas: problems faced, critical incidents, decision points.
- Epilogue / Decision Point
v Brings the narrative to the critical issue where a decision must be made.
v Leaves room for analysis and discussion.
- Teaching Note (submitted separately)
v Case synopsis
v Learning objectives
v Target audience (undergraduate, MBA, executive training, etc.)
v Suggested teaching approach (discussion, role-play, group analysis, etc.)
v Discussion questions
v Suggested analysis, frameworks, or possible solutions

v All cited sources must be listed in APA 7th edition format.
3. Style and Presentation
v Write in storytelling style but academically rigorous (real-life context, credible data).
v Use real company names and individuals unless confidentiality requires pseudonyms.
v Visuals (tables, charts, figures, photographs) are encouraged for clarity.
v Each section should flow logically, engaging the reader toward the decision dilemma.
4. Ethical Considerations
v Authors must obtain permission for any data, images, or information that are not publicly available.
v If names, financial data, or details are disguised, a disclaimer must be added (e.g., This case is written solely for educational purposes and is not intended to represent successful or unsuccessful managerial decision-making.).
5. Submission Process
v Submit manuscripts through the IJECS submission into the OJS system Register | International Journal of Entrepreneurship Case Study (IJECS)
v All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
v Authors will be notified of the editorial decision.
